I can't say I knew Evan Tanner, although I have met him a number of times. Over the last year, while he has come out of retirement and shared his life with the world, many of us have gotten to know a lot about the man behind the beard.
An elusive person, often referred to as a lost soul. He was an accomplished fighter, and loved by many. His death, while unfortunate, happened while doing what it was he wanted to do. And that was going off on adventure. It's upsetting that things happened the way that they did and many may find his death to have been needless and unneccessary.
